Computed Tomography

The method of computed tomography is based on fundamental developments in the field of physics, mathematics, medicine and engineering. During the examination of the tissue of your body, X-rays shine through, and the computer immediately analyzes the obtained data, creating images of individual virtual "slices". In modern multi-spiral tomography, the images of the tissues studied are more accurate, and the radiation load on the body is minimal. In this case, CT can be screened for people with pacemakers and other metal implants in the body. To pass CT in our clinics can be 24 hours a day.

Computed tomography is required when necessary...

  • Identify the smallest changes in the body The CT "sees" your body right through and in the smallest detail - you can detect changes in size from 0,6 mm. The method is especially accurate when diagnosing injuries and diseases of bone tissue, spine, brain, heart and blood vessels, lungs, liver, kidneys, pancreas and a number of other organs.
  • Control the course of treatment and rehabilitation Diagnosis is not limited to finding out the cause of the disease. Observation during and after treatment allows to evaluate its effectiveness, to study the state of the organism in dynamics, and to identify possible complications and relapses.
  • Schedule an operation Without an accurate knowledge of the peculiarities of the location of pathologies and their structure, it is impossible to carry out many types of surgical interventions. CT will give a detailed picture for greater accuracy of the doctor's actions.
  • Observe with medical implants One of the main advantages of CT diagnostics is that it can be carried safely to people who have implants: pacemakers, middle ear implants, endoprostheses, tooth crowns, insulin pumps and others.

When can a doctor appoint a CT?

Computer tomography is prescribed by the doctor as an independent diagnostic method, and in addition to others. Some symptoms make the appointment of CT more likely.

  • Frequent and severe headaches
  • Sudden speech, hearing, vision
  • Frequent inflammation of the sinuses
  • Pain in the back, neck, limbs
  • Poor mobility of the joints
  • Stomach ache
  • Traumas in the nasal sinus or eye area
  • Head injuries And any other injuries

CT will clarify the diagnosis and help determine the further treatment tactics.

What is diagnosed with CT?

CT will accurately tell about the nature of the ongoing disease and help assess the risk of complications.

  • Stroke
  • Cardiac ischemia
  • Aneurysms of different locations
  • Inflammatory diseases (abscesses, pneumonia)
  • Benign formations (polyps, cysts, tumors)
  • Oncological diseases
  • Injuries
  • Internal hemorrhages

CT can be diagnosed by a neurologist, cardiologist, traumatologist, gastroenterologist, dentist, gynecologist, oncologist, phlebologist, as well as specialists of other specialized fields. It is important that only a doctor can determine the specific goal, the type of CT scan and, especially, analyze the results and prescribe the treatment.

What types of CT are we doing?

  • CT of the skull and brain
  • CT of orbits
  • CT of sinuses of the nose
  • CT of the neck
  • CT of the chest
  • CT of the abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space
  • CT of the spine
  • CT of bones and joints
  • CT of the pelvic organs
  • CT of blood vessels

You can also take CT with contrasting.

Why is CT in our clinics effective?

Doctors of high qualification

Our doctors have high qualifications and extensive work experience, masterfully handle the most modern diagnostic equipment, cooperate with foreign radiologist specialists and know how to conduct a survey in each specific case. They will treat you attentively and conduct the diagnosis in such a way that you feel as comfortable as possible.

The newest multi-spiral tomographs

Surveys in our clinics can be conducted on two tomographs of the premium class. This is a multi-spiral computer tomograph manufactured in Germany - Siemens SOMATOM EMOTION 16 (16-slice) and Siemens PERSPECTIVE (128-slice). They have an increased number of detectors and an extensive set of work programs that significantly expand the range and types of research conducted for a wide range of medical fields.

  • Custom settings Each scanner can be configured in accordance with the objectives of the survey, as well as the features of your health and physique, including for children or for patients weighing up to 120 kg.
  • Low radial load Our tomographs meet the most modern safety standards. In addition, in 0.5 seconds you can make up to 128 high-resolution slices. This allows you to speed up the diagnosis and further reduce the radiation load.
  • High accuracy The thickness of one cut can reach 0.6 mm. This makes it possible to record the slightest changes and pathologies.

Expert level of research

We carry out the most high-tech and maximally informative types of diagnostics. After reading your direction, the doctor of radiation diagnostics will choose the most suitable method of conducting the research, if necessary - recommend the use of contrast.

  • CT with dynamic (bolus) contrast Study of internal organs and vessels with synchronous contrast administration. It allows to visualize and create 3D-reconstruction of both large and small vessels, to distinguish benign formations from malignant ones.
  • 3D CT coronography and angiography The study of the vessels of the heart and body in the volumetric model and in real time. The volumetric projection allows studying the structure and functioning of the vessels: to reveal abnormalities of development, atherosclerotic plaques, aneurysms, hemorrhages, thromboses and other pathologies of the cardiovascular system.
  • CT determination of the coronary artery calcium index The method of detection of calcium in the arteries of the heart, allowing to identify and determine the severity of atherosclerosis. Also helps to assess your biological age, vascular risks and the risk of developing myocardial infarction.
  • CT-densitometry Determination of bone density to detect and determine the degree of osteoporosis. Especially shown to people with pathology of the endocrine system, repeated fractures of bones, women during menopause and patients older than 60 years of any gender.
  • CT in stomatology Accurate diagnosis of the teeth and jaws, as well as the creation of 3D models and accurate calculations carries important information for orthodontics, implantation or prosthetics of the teeth
  • CT of the skull and head A universally recognized method for diagnosing injuries and pathologies of the bones of the skull and brain. It helps to assess the condition of the nasal sinuses, separate bones, to reveal brain hematomas, to prepare for biopsy or to surgical intervention.

More information about the methods of CT examination will tell you the doctor for a consultation.

High level of service

We care not only about the accuracy and reliability of the results, but also about your convenience.

  • Close by During the procedure, accompanying persons may be with you in the office. Comfort in allFor the convenience of the position of your body, we use special locks and pads under the head, in the office there is a climate control system.
  • Research 24/7 Almost all types of CT-diagnostics can be performed at any time of the day, seven days a week. Contrast studies can be conducted from 09:00 to 21:00.

You can sign up for CT at any time convenient for you day or night - for this, come in person or contact our contact center.

Preparation for research

Research using CT methods in most cases does not require special training. The only exception is the study of the abdominal cavity and small pelvis. In this case, the study is performed strictly on an empty stomach - within 10 hours before it, refrain from eating, you can only use liquid food (yogurts, tea).

Before carrying out CT with contrast, it is required to make a blood test for urea and creatinine (assessing kidney function) and bring the results with you.

Medical equipment

By collaborating with leading manufacturers and importers of medical technology in Europe and Russia, the company is the supplier of the widest range of high quality medical devices and equipment.
