Treatment of hernias

The network of clinic "Lukmoni Hakim" is undergoing surgical treatment of hernia with modern methods that will save you from the problem forever. Leading herniologists operate in Tajikistan.

Laparoscopic surgery for hernia

Laparoscopic hernioplasty is recommended for inguinal hernias. The operation is performed through puncture-cuts up to 1.5 cm with endoscopic instruments under vision control. Through the mini-video camera on the laparoscope, the image is transferred to the monitor, where the doctor sees the entire operation field.

Defect abdominal wall surgeon closes the synthetic implant, imposing it as a patch and fixing seams or special brackets from the inside. The implant is tightly pressed and firmly retained by the sutures. This method of plastic is called "non-stretch" and it is recognized in the world medical practice, as a method that minimizes the re-emergence of a hernia. The duration of the operation depends on the complexity of the case and can range from 1 to 3 hours. The intervention is performed under the general endotracheal intubation anesthesia.

If, in addition to herniation, the patient needs additional surgeries on the abdominal organs, which can be performed laparoscopically (for example, removal of the gallbladder in cholelithiasis), then two or even three operations can be performed simultaneously.

The advantages of laparoscopic surgery for hernia:

  • To get up and take liquid food is allowed from the first day after the operation. On the third day you can eat normally.
  • Careful intervention without a large incision allows you to leave the hospital on the day of surgery or the next day, shorten the period of incapacity for work on average up to a week, and limit physical activity - an average of 10 days.
  • Unpleasant sensations and pain after surgery are minimal.
  • Excellent cosmetic effect - on the body there will be only points from 3 punctures instead of the large scar remaining after the usual operation.

If you are shown hernia, do laparoscopic hernioplasty in our clinic, so that you will never again remember a hernia.

About hernia

Hernia hernia is a surgical pathology characterized by the presence of a defect in the abdominal wall and the exit of the internal organs (more often the intestinal loops) through these holes. The skin is not damaged, but the hernial contents from the outside look like a round or oval protrusion, sometimes very large.

Signs and causes of abdominal hernia

Depending on the location of the hernial protrusion and its size, the following symptoms occur:

  • Well visible protrusion on the surface of the abdominal wall. Rarely it can be permanent, but most often it is manifested with increased intra-abdominal pressure: it is provoked by coughing, sneezing, lifting of weights and other physical efforts. In prone position the hernial protrusion is smoothed out.
  • Pain in the area of the hernial protrusion of the aching, pulling, pressing character, is not intensive.
  • Various manifestations of digestive disorders: diarrhea, constipation, nausea, rarely vomiting.
  • Violations of urination (rarely, when in the hernial contents of the bladder).

The appearance of a hernia is facilitated by the inherent weakness of the abdominal wall that appeared during the course of life. To lead to a weakening of connective tissue can: smoking, surgical interventions on the organs of the abdominal cavity, pregnancy, obesity, the natural aging processes of the body.

The factors that can lead to the appearance of a hernial protrusion (if there is a predisposition, and not yourself!) Are:

  • Frequent crying of a child in infancy.
  • Chronic cough, for example, in smokers.
  • Stiffening during bowel movements and urination.
  • Frequent vomiting.
  • Heavy physical work.
  • Playing musical instruments (wind instruments).
  • Frequent sneezing (in patients with allergies).
  • Heavy delivery, etc.

What is dangerous hernia?

Unoperated abdominal hernia may be complicated:

  • Infringement. Characterized by sharp pain, irreparable protrusion. Can be vomiting. In the absence of emergency care, the necrosis of the intestinal wall, its breakthrough, peritonitis can develop.
  • Intestinal obstruction. It can be a consequence of infringement or it is independent to arise because of disturbance of normal passage of intestinal masses.
  • Phlegmon. When the infectious agent enters the hernial contents, an abscess develops. The abdominal wall becomes sharply painful, and the general condition worsens.

All these complications are life-threatening. Timely surgery of hernia repair is much easier and will save the patient from such threats.

Diagnosis and treatment of abdominal hernia

To suspect the presence of a hernia can be independently, if there is a protrusion of the abdominal wall, which disappears in the lying position.

The doctor can also check the symptom of a "cough push" - when you cough under your fingers, a swelling of the hernial protrusion is felt.

In some cases (with a small hernia defect or in patients with obesity), additional research may be needed: computed tomography, ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging of the anterior abdominal wall.

The only method of treatment for a hernia is surgical intervention - hernioplasty.

In the network of clinic "Lukmoni Hakim" treatment of hernia is performed with the help of modern low-traumatic laparoscopic operations or complicated hernioplasty combined with abdominal plastic surgery. In both cases, we set the goal to return as quickly as possible to a full life and exclude the possibility of recurrence of the disease.
